Modern Slavery & Human Trafficking Statement: 2025

Whilst Med Fit UK Limited is not mandated by the Modern Slavery Act 2015 to publish a statement pursuant to Section 54, Part 6 of the Act, as a responsible and ethical employer we are pleased to publish the steps Med Fit UK Limited has taken to ensure that slavery, slavery like practices, forced labour and human trafficking are not taking place in our supply chains or in any part of Med Fit’s business.

This statement is guided by our core values of quality, integrity and care, supported by recognised best business practices which ensure clarity of purpose, accountability and responsibility for our actions as we strive to improve the quality of life through our products and services.

Med Fit UK Limited provides a comprehensive range of medical, rehabilitation and fitness devices designed to improve health and wellbeing. Our principal aim is to deliver high quality, clinically proven and technologically advanced products that support recovery, enhance mobility and help improve the quality of everyday life. Our product range includes electrotherapy devices, muscle stimulators, rehabilitation systems and pain management equipment designed for both clinical and home use. Further information about our products and services can be found on our website.

Our business and supply chains are centred around our mission to improve quality of life by helping people move better, feel better and live better. We aim to bring effective, high quality healthcare and wellbeing solutions to as many people as possible through our partnerships with healthcare professionals, physiotherapists, rehabilitation specialists, distributors, retailers and online platforms. We are proud to serve customers in the United Kingdom and internationally, maintaining high ethical standards in all locations where we conduct business.

Med Fit employs a diverse team and conducts business across a number of markets. We are committed to operating and maintaining high ethical standards wherever we work. We do not tolerate or condone any efforts or activities that seek to achieve business results through illegal or unethical means. Our suppliers understand that we are concerned not only with the quality and safety of our products, but also with how those products are produced and delivered. We expect all suppliers and partners to conduct their business to the same high standards.

Our suppliers are subject to appropriate levels of assessment and audit to ensure that they share our commitment to ethical conduct. Where relevant, suppliers are also audited by accredited government and regulatory bodies including but not limited to the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency in the United Kingdom, the United States Food and Drug Administration, Health Canada and other internationally recognised certification authorities.

As a responsible employer, Med Fit UK Limited sets high expectations for our own working practices as well as those of our partners and suppliers. These expectations are based on international standards, including the International Labour Organisation core conventions, which prohibit all forms of forced or child labour. We believe that all work should be fairly rewarded and all our employees are paid at or above the Living Wage, exceeding any government minimum wage requirements. We also pay our interns and work placement students, as we believe that offering unpaid placements is contrary to fair employment principles and that no worker should pay for the opportunity of a job.

We have established procedures to protect and support individuals who work for Med Fit and who raise concerns in good faith about misconduct or unethical practices, including concerns about exploitative labour. All employees have open communication channels with senior management and directors, ensuring transparency and a culture where concerns can be raised freely and without fear of retaliation.

We recruit employees based on their skills, attitude and values, as we believe that personal integrity and respect for others are fundamental to maintaining our ethical culture. These qualities help mitigate the risks of modern slavery across our business, whether in the sourcing of finished devices, raw materials or other goods and services that support our operations. This includes suppliers in areas such as consultancy, information technology, marketing, logistics, catering and facilities management.

At Med Fit we believe in the power of teamwork, diversity and mutual respect. We care for our colleagues, our customers and our communities. We are committed to working together to achieve excellence responsibly and fairly. We are fully committed to addressing the risks of modern slavery and human trafficking in our operations and supply chains.

Med Fit includes in all supplier contracts specific terms requiring our suppliers to commit to and uphold our principles, values and ethical policies. We also require our suppliers to cascade these same standards to their own suppliers and subcontractors to ensure that responsible practices are maintained throughout every stage of the supply chain.

Our Quality Management System establishes the clear requirement that we work only with approved suppliers who meet our ethical, quality and compliance standards. This ensures that we maintain accountability and transparency across all of our business relationships.

This statement is published voluntarily, as Med Fit UK Limited’s annual turnover is below the current threshold of thirty six million pounds set out in the Modern Slavery Act 2015. Nevertheless, we choose to issue this statement as a reflection of our continued commitment to act ethically and with integrity in every aspect of our operations, and to maintain effective systems and controls to prevent any form of slavery or human trafficking within our supply chains.
