While we are a small organisation, we are committed to taking practical and proportionate steps to support the transition to a lower-carbon economy.


Our Commitment

Med-Fit is committed to achieving Net Zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050, in line with UK Government targets, or sooner where reasonably practicable given the scale and resources of our business.

As a small organisation with fewer than 10 employees and an annual turnover below £5 million, we will adopt an approach that is realistic, evidence-based, and proportionate to our operational capacity.

Emissions Coverage

We will seek to understand and reduce emissions across the following areas where applicable to our operations:

  • Scope 1: Direct emissions from owned or controlled sources (e.g. company vehicles and fuel use)
  • Scope 2: Indirect emissions from purchased electricity and energy use
  • Scope 3: Relevant indirect emissions, including business travel, procurement, waste, and employee commuting


Our Approach

To support our Net Zero commitment, we will:

  • Measure and periodically review our carbon footprint where feasible
  • Prioritise practical and cost-effective measures to reduce energy use and emissions
  • Improve operational efficiency in our premises and day-to-day activities
  • Encourage responsible environmental practices among staff and suppliers
  • Consider low-carbon alternatives where reasonably available and proportionate to our size
  • Stay informed of relevant guidance for small and medium-sized enterprises


Continuous Improvement

We recognise that progress towards Net Zero is a long-term journey. Our approach will evolve over time as better data, technology, and practical solutions become available.

We are committed to making continuous, incremental improvements rather than relying on immediate or disruptive changes that are not proportionate to our scale.

This commitment is supported by Med-Fit’s leadership and will be reviewed periodically to ensure it remains appropriate, achievable, and aligned with UK Government guidance and best practice for small businesses.
